In some really exciting and well-timed news, the Indiana Jones franchise is arriving on Disney+ later this month, dropping on May 31.
All four of the currently released films will be available on the streaming platform, making the long-awaited arrival of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Additionally, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles TV series will also be streaming on that date, marking the first time in 15 years that it’s been made available from Lucasfilm.
A 30-second teaser was released, compiling footage from the films to announce the franchise debut on Disney+, accompanied by the iconic theme music from John Williams:
It’s been a long time coming for these movies to make it on the platform, which houses all the content from Lucasfilm’s Star Wars franchise, as well as the Willow franchise and Red Tails too. And it’s with perfect timing, as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives in theaters next month, on June 30. That will be the final fifth and final film starring Harrison Ford as Indy, and that leaves the future uncertain. There have been rumors about ideas for a Disney+ series being tossed around, but there’s been nothing even close to official yet. But with the movies and show being made available now, at the very least fans will be able to watch these iconic moments whenever they want, right alongside all the Star Wars they could dream of too.
