The next chapter in the Star Wars Jedi video game franchise has officially been announced at Star Wars Celebration, releasing the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!
The game will release at some point in 2023, and according to Respawn Entertainment will actually be set five years after the events of Fallen Order. I’m not sure if it means anything or not, but that means it’ll be taking place around the same time as the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Just saying.
The teaser shows us a lot of really interesting shots, but we really have no clue what any of it means. Which is probably the whole intention, as it builds hype without really revealing anything huge. But it’s pretty epic, that much is certain. Take a look!
Fallen Order was fantastic, and this sequel will once again follow Cal Kestis and his trusty droid, BD-1. The fact that five years have passed means that we’ll have to wait and see just how much continuity there is between the two games beyond this, but I’m guessing this will very much feel like the continuation of Cal’s story.
No official release date was given, but it did at least bring clarity that it will be coming next year. I’m super excited about this game and was hoping that we’d get some news during Celebration, so this is awesome!
