One of the annual traditions recently for Star Wars films has been the global launch of merchandise on a Friday in the fall, which has been called “Force Friday.” On this day, stores begin selling merchandise for the upcoming film at 12:01 AM, and many fans take part in it.
This year, Force Friday will be even more spectacular, as Star Wars announced today a Triple Force Friday will arrive on Friday, October 4, 2019.
This day will mark the release of new merchandise not only for the highly-anticipated Episode IX, but also for the first-ever live-action Star Wars TV show, The Mandalorian, and the latest game from EA and Respawn, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. All kinds of merchandise from those three projects will be released on October 4.
That’s pretty exciting, and it’s cool that there will be merchandise not just for Episode IX (though that obviously is the biggest one of the group) but also for The Mandalorian and Fallen Order. I’m actually a bit surprised to hear that there will be merchandise for Fallen Order, but I think it’s pretty encouraging that Lucasfilm is going to market the game with other items as well.
Anyway, mark your calendars for October 4, when tons of new Star Wars merchandise will go on sale at 12:01!
