Rosario Dawson expects Ahsoka to premiere in the fall

The Mandalorian season three is just days away, and after the eight-episode series, it’s likely that the next chapter of the Mandoverse will be Ahsoka, which is coming later this year.

We don’t have an official release date for that series yet, but I’m guessing we’ll get it at Star Wars Celebration in April. But prior to that, we may have just gotten a hint from star Rosario Dawson. In a recent interview with Today, Dawson shared that she expects it to come out this fall.

“Yeah, it’s unbelievable,” she said of being involved in the Star Wars universe. “It’s kinda next level. I’m excited. I’m nervous about it. … Ahsoka, yeah, that’s gonna probably come out in the fall. We’re gonna have Haunted Mansion coming out in August first, and I just did some beautiful Disney+ commercial voiceover, and I’m like, have I just become a Disney princess? Because I’m ok with that.”

It should be noted that this is nothing definite, especially since actors haven’t exactly proven to be the most trustworthy on matters like this. But if it’s true, I wouldn’t be surprised to get a fall release for Ahsoka and then a winter release for Skeleton Crew, both of which will be set around the same timeline as The Mandalorian. Ahsoka in particular promises to be a thrilling journey following one of the most beloved Star Wars characters, but also introducing plenty of other fan favorites as it serves as a sort-of sequel to Rebels. It won’t just be a sequel to that series, however, but also presumably a pivotal story that connects to Mando and shakes up the galactic scale for the foreseeable future. It’s likely going to introduce characters like Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra Bridger, and Sabine Wren into live-action during this timeline, and if it does, it’s going to be epic.

It’s safe to say that it can’t get here soon enough, but at least we have plenty of Star Wars content coming in the meantime.
