The first set pictures from The Acolyte have been leaked, showing off some exciting new characters

***This article discusses leaks from the set of The Acolyte. If you wish to not see these potential spoilers, don’t read any further.***

The Acolyte began production in November, and we recently got our first pictures from the set of the show. Typically pictures from the set of productions like this are mildly interesting, but not really worth making a whole article about. They usually show some buildings, or people under robes, or something like that.

This time, however, we actually got a look at new characters from the series, and it looks awesome. These pictures were shared by Daily Mail, and then quickly shared other places on social media. The images show several Jedi, including Lee Jung-jae as a Jedi Master, Dean-Charles Chapman as a Jedi padawan, an unknown actress as a Zabrak Jedi, and another person in a costume playing a Wookiee Jedi. Additionally, there were several individuals seen in robes wielding weapons, including Dafne Keen.

But the most notable and exciting part of the set pictures was the look at these Jedi. First off, it’s really cool to see a Zabrak Jedi and a Wookiee Jedi. I’m glad to see alien races a part of this Jedi team. But secondly, it’s really cool to see the robes that reflect the High Republic era, brought to live-action.

This series will be set in the final days of the High Republic era, and it will focus on the rise of the Sith in the shadows during this period. The series will center on the Sith, making it a dark-side story, but it will obviously include the Jedi, who are looking into some of these suspicious mysteries.

There’s no release date set for The Acolyte yet, but production is well underway. The series is helmed by Leslye Headland and stars Amandla Stenberg.
