Today is the day! The High Republic phase two has officially kicked off with the release of Path of Deceit, written by Tessa Gratton and Justina Ireland.
To mark the launch of this next phase, Star Wars has released a short trailer, like they did for phase one. Check it out:
I absolutely love that this publishing project has been getting this kind of promotion and marketing, and think it’s awesome how the trailer gives an overview and tease of where things are going. It’s also great that so much concept art has been made for these characters and worlds, and how it’s being used to help give us an actual look at the stories.
The High Republic phase two picks up where the success of phase one left off, but the story doesn’t pick up there. This story is actually set 150 years in the past, and this trailer gives some indications of how it will connect – namely, the Nameless. This is an era of even more exploration and expansion than we’ve been introduced to in phase one, and I can’t wait to jump back in.
