Andor is less than a month away, and the hype for the series is really beginning to grow.
In addition to exclusive footage being shown in theaters alongside the Rogue One IMAX re-release, a minute-long clip from the show was also released. This presumably takes place very early in the series, and it’s a conversation between Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor and Stellan Skarsgard’s Luthen. The conversation takes place in a warehouse or barn or something like that, and Luthen is questioning Cassian about how he stole from the Empire. Cassian says that he just pretended like he belonged, walked in, and took it – because the Empire is so arrogant that they would never think someone like him could do that.

Andor will dive into the backstory of Cassian Andor, whom we first met in Rogue One, and tell how he came to be the Rebel spy that we know him as. Luthen appears to be a major player in his story, and based on some of the footage seen in the trailers it looks like he’s an ally of Mon Mothma’s as well. The Rebellion is nothing formal at this point, but there are plenty of people who have no love for the Empire and are beginning to form together to fight back. It appears that Cassian and Luthen are among those doing just that.
Andor will release on Wednesday, September 21, with the first three episodes premiering on that date. The 12-episode first season will wrap up on November 23.
