The Clone Wars just wrapped up the first arc of the seventh and final season, focusing on the Bad Batch. In many ways, this arc was included for its focus on Captain Rex, and now the focus turns to Ahsoka Tano.
The first episode of this arc premieres on Disney+ this Friday, and Star Wars released a minute-long trailer for it yesterday:
This arc will see Ahsoka befriending and teaming up with the Martez sisters, and it will be our first look (in The Clone Wars, that is) at Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order.
I am really excited for this arc for a couple of reasons. First, this is the first arc of this season to be brand new material. Though I thought the Bad Batch was fantastic, the animation was insane, and the changes made were nice, we knew the general storyline already. Now, though, we’re venturing into brand new territory, which is cool. Secondly, because we’ll get to see Ahsoka dealing with her choice to leave the Jedi and trying to find her way in the galaxy.
Of course, this all will lead up to the final arc of the season, the Siege of Mandalore, and I can’t wait! But it’s pretty exciting to be seeing Ahsoka once more in The Clone Wars.
