We know that Star Wars: Episode IX wrapped filming yesterday, but it appears that The Mandalorian has also recently wrapped up filming on the first season.
In a since deleted tweet by The Unsung Movie, a photo is shared of a Mandalorian helmet autographed by the crew of the show, working with Damiano Fusca on the first season of the show:
The tweet was apparently deleted because they couldn’t confirm whether filming actually had finished, but Making Star Wars reported that a wrap party for the show took place on Tuesday.
If the wrap party was held Tuesday, that likely means that filming actually wrapped up a few days ago. So while we have no official confirmation one way or the other right now, all signs point toward The Mandalorian also being wrapped up on principal photography.
Assuming that is true, I don’t think it’s a stretch at all to hope and expect a trailer coming at Celebration in a few months. I think we always expected to see something from the show, but if it’s already done filming then we could perhaps get a full trailer. The Mandalorian will release later this year on Disney+.
It’s definitely a great time to be a Star Wars fan, and this year is shaping up to be really epic!
