Pictured with Favreau (who directed Iron Man and Iron Man 2 while serving as executive producer on several other MCU films) are Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers 4), Peyton Reed (Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok),.  Favreau and Waititi are both working on The Mandalorian, with Favreau serving as creator, writer, and executive producer, while Waititi will direct an episode of the show’s first season.

It’s pretty cool to see all of these directors and filmmakers together in one photo, checking out the set of one of the latest Star Wars projects.  Obviously fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will especially appreciate this photo, as these filmmakers have been responsible for some of the best MCU movies to date (in my opinion, as a big MCU fan, the Russo brothers in particular have created the best Marvel films).  But even fans of filmmaking in general will surely appreciate this crew reuniting with Favreau on the set of The Mandalorian, getting a chance to see up close what he’s been working on.

Favreau has been quite successful working for different Disney properties, as he was obviously involved in the MCU significantly but also has directed Disney’s live-action films The Jungle Book and The Lion King, the latter of which released its first trailer last week.  The Mandalorian is his first project directing in the Star Wars universe, but he previously voiced the character of Pre Vizsla in The Clone Wars and Rio Durant in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
