The new trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is here!
The story trailer for the upcoming game was released today, and it features Cal Kestis, Merrin, and the rest of the Mantis crew adjusting to the state of the galaxy, set five years after the events of Fallen Order. Take a look at the trailer:
The game looks fantastic, and it’s a very welcome sight to see Merrin and Greez, both of whom we knew would be in the game but hadn’t been seen yet. Merrin in particular gets some attention in this trailer, and it looks like she might be a significant figure in this game – which would be awesome. The trailer seems to confirm that the mysterious Jedi seen in previous trailers is from the High Republic era, and it also hints at what the main theme of the game might be: it seems that the crew is in pursuit of a planet where they can settle down beyond the Empire’s reach.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will release on April 28 on next-gen platforms, the highly-anticipated sequel to the acclaimed Fallen Order (released in 2019). The game’s director, Stig Asmussen, is on record saying that he hopes to make the series a trilogy, with a third game to come. While much of that will probably be dependent upon the success of Survivor, given the hype level and everything we’ve seen so far, this one should be a worthy sequel to one of the very best Star Wars games ever made.
