A new trailer for The Mandalorian season three will premiere during the Monday Night Football game on January 16, which will be broadcast by both ABC and ESPN. The trailer will be shown during halftime of the game, which begins at 8:15 p.m. eastern and features the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL’s Wild Card round.
Star Wars getting the Monday Night Football treatment is nothing new. With ABC and ESPN both also owned by Disney, the company has frequently used both channels to promote content from Star Wars, Marvel, and other licenses. Trailers for The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, and The Mandalorian season one have all debuted on Monday Night Football, so this is nothing new.
The highly-anticipated premiere of the third season of Disney+’s flagship program will drop on Wednesday, March 1. Din Djarin and Grogu have been reunited (if you missed it… it happened in The Book of Boba Fett), and their adventures together will lead them to other Mandalorians and take them, it seems, to Mandalore itself. Meanwhile, sinister threats continue to lurk in the galaxy as the New Republic tries to deal with fallout from the fallen Empire.
While we wait, catch up on the first trailer for The Mandalorian season three that was released in September:
