In just over a week, the newest Lego Star Wars animated special will hit Disney+, with LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation arriving on August 5!
To build hype for it, Star Wars today released a brand new poster and the first official clip from the film:
LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation is set after The Rise of Skywalker and focuses on the heroes of the sequel trilogy arriving at the Halcyon Starcruiser for a much-needed vacation. But it’s Star Wars, meaning that those plans are quickly interrupted, and throughout the special we’ll learn that other familiar Star Wars characters have tried to go on vacation before this too, presumably to similar results.
This is the third year in a row for a Lego Star Wars animated film, and the previous two have been great. First up was the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, and then last year was LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales. Those stories took place around real life holidays, and keeping up that theme is this year’s special around a summer holiday. The first one focused especially on Rey, while the second focused especially on Poe – so this one will focus especially on Finn.
These specials are great, and I can’t wait to see Summer Vacation next week!
