With the Obi-Wan Kenobi series having wrapped up, Star Wars recently released a short behind the scenes featurette about the series, giving us a chance to hear briefly from Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Moses Ingram.
The main focus of the minute and a half long clip is on the return of McGregor and Christensen to the franchise, with Chow talking about how it seemed like the perfect time to do this story for everyone involved.
Seeing material like this is cool, and it has me hoping that there will be a Disney Gallery episode about the making of this show too. The Disney Gallery series is one that was started with The Mandalorian, as we got a full season of episodes about the making of season one of the show, and then two hour-long episodes about the making of season two. We then got another hour-long episode about the making of The Book of Boba Fett, meaning that there’s been at least one behind-the-scenes feature about each of the live-action Star Wars seasons so far. I’m really hoping, and expecting, that Obi-Wan Kenobi will follow suit.
With how much the franchise has been using the return of McGregor and Christensen to hype up the series, I’d be quite shocked if they don’t in turn do a behind the scenes feature about the making of the series, likely focusing on the return of these iconic characters and what it was like bringing them back.
