On the same day that Obi-Wan Kenobi Part 4 released (which is surely just coincidental timing…), Star Wars released a fun short video of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reflecting on their time being involved in the saga.
They talked about moments from the prequel trilogy, as well as what it was like to return to the series – and to working together once more.
One of the coolest parts about the whole Obi-Wan Kenobi series is seeing the two of them return to the franchise to such a celebrated reception amongst Star Wars fans. They clearly enjoy being a part of it and working with each other, which is extremely refreshing after they have been quite outspoken about how hard it was to deal with the prequel hate. Now, their return is among the most exciting Star Wars moments in recent memory, which is awesome.
At the heart of Obi-Wan Kenobi is the relationship between Obi-Wan and Anakin, which has obviously been shattered in the wake of Order 66 and Anakin’s fall to the dark side. But it’s still the emotional heartbeat of the whole series, which makes it all the more important that both McGregor and Christensen are involved with it.
