New poster released for upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Galaxy’s Edge

In 2019, the Galaxy’s Edge theme park opened at both Disneyland and Disney World, bringing fans and park-goers an immersive look at the Star Wars universe.

The park plunges the visitor into the story, having them visit Black Spire Outpost on Batuu – where the First Order and the Resistance also have an interest. As things continue to expand, the long-planned hotel accompanying the park will be launching at Walt Disney World Resorts in 2022, and we recently got a closer look at what to expect, as a poster was released, accompanied by a blog post unpacking what we see on it.

The poster is pretty packed with different people and things, giving us some clues about what to expect. The blog post mentions that it will be a “two-night journey,” and it really thrusts you into the story, letting you make choices that impact your experience and the encounters you have. But I also think that it’s noteworthy that both Kylo Ren and Chewbacca appear on the poster, which is an indication that these very familiar characters will show up.

This makes sense when you consider that this is designed as much more than a hotel – it’s designed as part of the experience. In-universe, you’re a part of a galactic cruise line that will be making a stop at Batuu, and so this very much keeps up the whole theme of you actually being brought into the Star Wars universe.

Of course, this will only be the case for those who are able to afford it. No pricing has been given, but it surely won’t be cheap. That means that this update probably doesn’t really impact most of us, but nonetheless it’s a pretty cool thing that Star Wars fans can actually experience the galaxy far, far away somewhat through this park and hotel!
