New trailer for Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge reveals Frank Oz’s return as Yoda!

The newest virtual reality experience from ILMxLAB, Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, releases on November 19 for Oculus Quest, and a new trailer for it was recently released!

The trailer further sets the stage for what to expect, but also features the return of Frank Oz as Yoda! Check out the trailer:

The story for Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, as we’ve previously learned, is that you’ll travel to Batuu and visit the cantina of Seezelslak the barkeep (voiced by BobbyMoynihan) and he will tell you different stories across a variety of eras in Star Wars. This trailer and accompanying article on StarWars.com reveals that there’s more than just hearing stories, however, as you’re a droid repair technician who has something that the Guavian Death Gang wants. So throughout, you’ll be facing off with Tara Rashin, a leader in the Gang, on a number of occasions.

Additionally, the game’s developers explained that this VR experience gives you the freedom to explore and choose which missions to go on and when, and it allows you the chance to move beyond Black Spire Outpost and explore Batuu a bit more.

And then, of course, there’s Yoda, who arrives at a mysterious Jedi Temple on Batuu in one of Zeezelslak’s stories, as the Jedi Council had received a distress call from a padawan. That’s quite interesting, as it reveals that there was a Jedi Temple on Batuu – and that Yoda actually visited! I’m extremely curious to learn more about that. Plus, it’s awesome to get Frank Oz back as the character!

Overall, this looks quite fun, and even though very few will be able to experience it, I think it’s a great idea for a VR experience to explore the world of Galaxy’s Edge.
