October is going to be a pretty big month for Star Wars!
Most notably, of course, is that The Mandalorian season two will premiere this month!!! The season’s first episode will drop on October 30! So while we have to wait pretty much the entirety of the month to see it, it nonetheless will drop in October.
More immediately, we’ve got a new Star Wars video game dropping this week, Squadrons! This starfighter game gives both multiplayer modes as well as a campaign, focusing on both the New Republic and Empire in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. That game releases this Friday, October 2. I’ll be writing quite a bit about it this week and into next.
But it’s not just the shows and games that are exciting, as we also are getting several comics and books.
We’re getting four new comics:

- Darth Vader #6 (October 14) – Greg Pak
- Bounty Hunters #6 (October 21) – Ethan Sacks
- Doctor Aphra #5 (October 28) – Alyssa Wong
We’re getting four books:
- Star Wars: A Jedi, You Will Be (October 6) (Preeti Chhibber)
- Star Wars: Fascinating Facts (October 13) (Pablo Hidalgo)
- Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection (October 20) (Daniel Wallace)
- The Star Wars Book: Expand your knowledge of a galaxy far, far away (October 20) (Pablo Hidalgo, Cole Horton, and Dan Zehr)
That’s more Star Wars content than we’ve gotten in a while, and so I’m really excited for October!
