As part of the Triple Force Friday livestream on Thursday afternoon, a new trailer was released for Jedi: Fallen Order! You can take a look at the trailer below:
This trailer is described as a story trailer, but we still don’t know a whole lot about the story of this game beyond the general details. In this trailer, we do see quite a bit of Cere Junda, a former Jedi who serves as a mentor figure to Cal Kestis in this game. The Second Sister also is prominently featured in this trailer, and we get to see a few other Inquisitors too (the Ninth Sister!).
Perhaps most interestingly, we hear someone say in the trailer, “He’s searching for something. Something very precious to the Empire.” I’m assuming that it is the Second Sister who says this, though I can’t say for sure, and I have no idea what it is that Cal is searching for. But the trailer showed Cal in what looks to be some temple-like structures, and it certainly looks like Cal will be searching for something very important perhaps among the ruins of the Jedi. I really like the sound of that, as that would provide quite a bit of an adventure mystery and add depth beyond just a combat game.
I’ll discuss more about Jedi: Fallen Order and this trailer in the days to come, but I absolutely can’t wait to play this game when it releases on November 15. I think it looks really cool, but I’m most excited for the story more and the experience more than anything. And since Lucasfilm is really promoting this (even including it as part of its Triple Force Friday event), I have confidence that it’s a significant story worth telling – and experiencing.
