If you were wondering when the Rise of the Resistance ride will open up at Galaxy’s Edge, we have an answer: it will open at Disney World in Florida on December 5, 2019, and then it will open at Disneyland on January 17, 2020.
This is a bit later than we expected, as all we knew previously was that it would be coming later this year, but at the same time it’s much more important to do it right than to do it fast. And I think it’s only right that this time Disney World gets the first opening, followed by Disneyland, since it was the opposite for the launch of the park.
In fact, Galaxy’s Edge isn’t even yet open at Disney World in Florida, as it will open near the end of August. And when it opens, it’ll have what Disneyland has: the Flight of the Falcon ride, Savi’s workshop, Oga’s cantina, Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, etc. So it’ll still have plenty for Star Wars fans to take in and enjoy.
The Rise of the Resistance ride sounds like it’ll be cutting-edge and one of the most amazing rides that Disney has ever done at any of their parks, as it’ll do wonders to make you feel fully immersed in this story. While seeing the Falcon is perhaps the biggest attraction the park has, the Rise of the Resistance ride sounds like it might be the marquee ride for visitors to experience. I can’t wait to visit!
