Several new TV spots for Skeleton Crew released!

Star Wars has really been picking up the pace on promotion of Skeleton Crew recently, ramping up to the premiere of the series in less than two weeks. Given that it’s a brand new show and might not immediately stand out as “Star Wars” at a casual glance, plus the fact that it’s a new feel stylistically, the increased marketing makes a lot of sense.

But it means that we’ve been getting some more TV spots and clips being released from the series, giving us a better feel for what to expect. We still don’t know a ton about the series, but we do know the general plot. A group of kids stumbles upon an old, abandoned ship which takes off, stranding them in the galaxy far away from home. They meet the ship’s first mate, a droid named SM-33, and a mysterious man named Jod Na Nawood who claims to be a Jedi. Nawood promises the kids he will get them home, but they are hunted by pirates (in one of the TV spots, Nawood says bounty hunters are after them). This is probably because, it seems, the kids have stumbled onto an ancient treasure hunt.

It looks like a lot of fun, and the first two episodes will premiere on Disney+ on December 3. Skeleton Crew comes from the mind of Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, who serve as showrunners. Take a look at a few of these TV spots below:
