I think there are a few clues to which Ahsoka episode Anakin Skywalker might be in

It’s all but confirmed by now that Anakin Skywalker will be in the Ahsoka series. It was reported two years ago that Hayden Christensen would be in the show, and more recently he was listed among the cast in some official product descriptions. And then there was a TV spot for the series that included new lines of dialogue from Christensen, which was the strongest evidence to date.

We haven’t seen him in Ahsoka quite yet, but I do think we have some clues to indicate when he’ll appear, and my guess is in episode five.

(1) The first one is that, while showrunner Dave Filoni wrote all eight episodes, he only directed two of them himself. The first was the pilot, and the other is episode five. While this isn’t definitive proof, the first live-action scenes between Ahsoka and Anakin – two characters he spent years with on The Clone Wars – would be something Filoni would want a particular hand in creating. That by itself would be little more than speculation, but then there emerged a second clue.

(2) In Disney’s release of projects coming to Disney+ in September, we learned that a new feature, Master & Apprentice: A Special Look at Ahsoka, will be dropping on September 15. We don’t know anything about it, but given the strong emphasis on masters and apprentices in this show it makes sense. But September 15 also just so happens to be the same week that the fifth episode of Ahsoka releases. That episode will premiere Tuesday night, and this special look will drop on Friday. It’s odd for Disney to release a special look like this during the run of the series, so it’s a bit eye-raising too. But it would make perfect sense if just days earlier audiences saw Ahsoka and her old master, Anakin, in live-action together for the first time. A feature like this would make sense as a way to help audiences catch up on their story, since many may not have seen the animated shows.

(3) A third note to add is even more on a speculative side, but thinking about an eight episode series, it seems logical to assume that the end of episode four could leave Ahsoka at a low point. We’re at the midway point of the series, and our hero has fallen on some hard times. Again, that’s speculation, but if that’s the case then a scene with Anakin could be a way to help inspire Ahsoka to keep going when things look bleak.

So yes, I admit that this is all highly speculative, but I’m guessing that Anakin Skywalker will be in episode five of Ahsoka (and maybe more). It might be as a Force ghost, might be in a flashback, or might be both, but I think we’ll see Hayden Christensen back, and we’ll see him with Ahsoka in live-action for the first time ever. And it will be an amazing moment whenever it winds up happening.
