New clip from Ahsoka shows off Hera, Chopper, and Ahsoka in the fight

A new clip has been released from Ahsoka, presumably from very early on in the season. It’s mostly made up of footage we’ve already seen, but it’s cool to see it pieced together.

The scene begins with Hera and Chopper flying the Phantom after a ship in the atmosphere. The ship they’re chasing begins firing at them, which of course sends Chopper into a panic. “Keep your lid on, Chop,” Hera tells him. It then cuts to the planet’s surface, where Ahsoka Tano is dueling Marrok and one of the HK droids first seen in The Mandalorian. She’s dueling both at the same time, but defeats the droid before turning to face Marrok – who then ignites the other half of his double-bladed lightsaber as the clip comes to an end.

The fact that so much of these moments we’ve already seen in trailers indicates that the series is taking the same tactic as the other Star Wars Disney+ shows when it comes to marketing: namely, that most of what we see in the trailers takes place very early in the season. So we’ll almost certainly be seeing this very clip next week when Ahsoka premieres, and before long we’ll likely have seen most of the trailer material.

Bigger picture, though, the takeaway from the clip is simple: Rebels fans are in for a treat. Hera and Chopper flying the Phantom while Ahsoka fights on the ground? It’s still amazing to think about how we’re getting such a direct continuation of such an incredible Star Wars story.
