We’re two weeks away from the premiere of Ahsoka, and some brand new posters were released today as the excitement for the series continues to ramp up.
There were six posters released in total, with three focusing on the heroes and three on the villains. There were hero posters of Ahsoka Tano, Hera Syndulla, and Sabine Wren, as well as villain posters for Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati, and Morgan Elsbeth.
The background of these posters varies, but it continues to have a very World Between Worlds feel to it, as much of the material promoting this series has. We don’t know whether that will actually factor into the series at all, but given its prominence in Ahsoka’s story as well as the heavy imagery of it in the lead-up to this show it seems quite possible.
The posters also serve as a visual reminder that this will be the most lightsaber-centric live-action Star Wars project we’ve seen in a long time, as four of these six characters featured use the weapon. Fans of lightsaber combat will surely be in for a treat with this show.
With past live-action Star Wars shows, they have released new character posters weekly as the episodes release, so we’ll probably be getting plenty more to add to this collection – people like Thrawn, most likely, whenever he shows up. These six characters seem to be the headliners, especially entering the series, but more will surely show up along the way. And we won’t have to wait long now to see it, as Ahsoka has a two-episode premiere on Disney+ on August 23.
