New Star Wars merchandise lists Anakin Skywalker among other characters from Ahsoka…

By now it seems to be one of the worst-kept secrets that Anakin Skywalker will be appearing in the Ahsoka series. Though nothing has been officially said, it was reported that Hayden Christensen would be reprising the role in the show, and public comments from him and others have done nothing to quiet it down either.

But we recently got another clue that could point to Anakin’s inclusion in the show. Amazon just listed tons of new officially licensed merchandise for Ahsoka, and beneath each item is a description that reads:

“Stop looking for fashion help in Alderaan places! Add a little out-of-this-world style to your wardrobe with some truly epic officially licensed Star Wars graphic tee shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies! Transport yourself to a galaxy far, far away with cool new apparel featuring Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Anakin Skywalker, Mon Mothma, and all your favorite Star Wars Ahsoka characters!”

Ahsoka, Sabine, and Mon have all been officially confirmed and seen in the trailers. That would seem to suggest that Anakin will be in the show too. While this clue might by itself not be entirely persuasive, there seems to be a pretty substantial trail of bread crumbs over the last few years that point to Anakin being involved in the show.

But how? That’s the key question, though it’s been widely assumed that his character will return as a Force ghost to speak with Ahsoka, his former apprentice. Anakin trained her during The Clone Wars, and her decision to leave the Jedi Order was a pivotal moment for Anakin’s own relationship with the Order. He eventually fell to the dark side and became Darth Vader, and he wound up facing off with Ahsoka much later. But Anakin was redeemed, saved by Luke Skywalker, and to get a chance to see master and apprentice talk once more would be so sweet – especially happening in live-action with Christensen returning to the role.

So, of course, we’ll have to wait and see if and how this all plays out, but it sure seems like the indications of Anakin being in Ahsoka are too much to ignore.
