The latest behind-the-scenes look at the making of a Star Wars project arrives next week, as Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian returns for a third season.
The special episode will explore how the third season of The Mandalorian came to be, and ahead of its release Lucasfilm released a thirty-second clip from it. The clip features showrunner Jon Favreau talking about bringing in Phil Tippett to continue his thematic work on the Star Wars franchise.
Tippett was instrumental in the original Star Wars trilogy with his work at Industrial Light & Magic, helping to pioneer innovative technology that made the films possible. He’s stayed active in the film industry, and has since had small roles on The Force Awakens and The Mandalorian as they continue the legacy that he helped to begin.
Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will drop its latest episode next Wednesday, June 28, on Disney+.
