Star Wars Outlaws officially revealed with epic new trailer!

A brand new Star Wars video game was officially announced on Sunday, as the epic first trailer for Star Wars Outlaws was released at the XBox Games Showcase.

Outlaws, coming from Massive Entertainment, Ubisoft, and Lucasfilm Games, is being billed as the first open-world Star Wars game. The game is set in-between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and deals with the crime syndicates who rule in the Outer Rim. The game focuses on a new character, Kay Vess, as she attempts a daring heist alongside her team: a lovable alien Nix and a B2 commando droid.

The game’s description that accompanied the trailer states that gamers will “explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. Risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted.”

We’re not going to have to wait long to learn more about Outlaws either, as there will be a look at the gameplay coming tomorrow! It seems that this isn’t another Eclipse situation, where it’s announced and then we hear nothing about it; this is a game that looks to be far along in development, with more to be shown tomorrow, ahead of a 2024 release.

Outlaws will be released on Xbox X|S, Playstation 5, and PC sometime next year.
